Laura Yarbrough: Hey, you all. It’s Laura Yarbrough with RE/MAX Signature. One of my new listing, we had tons of showings and multiple offers. But we did not choose the highest offer, which is crazy, I know. But they didn’t give a good deposit. Who doesn’t give a lot of money when you’re a serious buyer and you know you are fighting to win?
If there’s multiple offers, you need a strong deposit, a few hundred dollars is not going to cut it. That seller wants to know how serious you are. I know that you all want to go in at full price and that’s awesome, or at least go over the list price if you can, but you have got to have a strong deposit.
If you’re going to make an offer, you want a realtor that knows what they are doing. You need to choose one that experience in multiple offer situation. Give me a call, I would love to talk to you.
